FABIAN EDWARDS is "ready to smoke" his next opponent in Milan in October – and plans to toast his win by drinking rum in Jamaica.
The middleweight prospect revealed details of his next fight to SunSport and says he expects to have one more match up before a shot at the title.
It comes after Edwards became the first in Bellator history to stop Lyoto Machida with a stunning KO inside one round at the 281 show in London last month.
It was a chance for Edwards to put a frustrating 18 months behind him, where he suffered the first two defeats of his pro career against Costello van Steenis and Austin Vanderford.
To make matters worse he then had his next two fights postponed.
Edwards said: "I would have loved to have the John Salter fight or the Vanderford rematch around August.

Brit Edwards CONFIRMED for UFC title fight against Usman on August 20 in America
The 29-year-old feels he is reaching his prime and closer than ever to his glittering hopes of becoming world champion.
He reckons two more wins will put him in the picture to challenge Gegard Mousasi, who first puts his title on the line against undefeated Johnny Eblen on June 24.
Edwards added: "When I started fighting, even when I was amateur I thought I'm definitely there for world titles, to be number one.
"Some guys are just happy to make it to a big organisation.
"I don't know if I was being cocky but I thought to make a big promotion that was easy.
"To last and to win in this promotion is the hard thing.
"The champion fight is what's in my mind when I compete. I believe I'm two fights away from that.
"My brother is going to be fighting for his one in a couple months, and then I reckon next year, I'll be fighting for my title.
"History is going to be made in the next 12 months."
Edwards was unable to reveal his October opponent, but is not overly excited about his next match up.
He added: "In October it's just a fight. It's not a name that interests me.
"I think fans might think its a decent match up and like it stylistically.
"I'm not excited about the match up its just another fight for me. It is what it is."
Edwards' older brother Leon will fight for the UFC welterweight title on August 20 in Salt Lake City.
The British welterweight, who has gone ten bouts unbeaten, will challenge Kamaru Usman at UFC 278.
