A Primark mega-fan showed her love for the nation’s favorite budget retailer by making a 12-hour round trip and travelling 301 miles with a suitcase to fill up at the counter.
Suzanne Scott, 28, who’s lived abroad in Vancouver for the last few years hasn’t had the chance to visit her favorite store.
When she was visiting her family home in Falkirk, Stirlingshire, last month to take the train to Birmingham, a 12-hour round trip of 301 miles, to visit the world’s biggest Primark.
Once there, Suzanne who works as a retail store manager set about filling up the suitcase with £290 worth of merchandise, including toiletries, underwear and clothing.
Footage, which has now gone viral on TikTok with more than five million views, shows Suzanne piling her haul into a suitcase while a cashier scanned through the rest of her items in the background.

Since sharing the clip to TikTok, Suzanne has received a mixed response with many praising her handy hack, whilst others blasted her for ‘wasting money’.
But she argued that the spree was ‘her treat’ and she’s sure ‘people spend more in a week on Shein’.
Suzanne said: ‘This was my first trip back to the UK in four years.
‘It was so lovely being back in Scotland after all this time – it was like I’d never left.
‘I decided to do a day trip down to Birmingham to do a Primark shop. I joked: “I better take a suitcase!” and my mum ended up giving me hers.

‘I knew it was going to be a big shop. I hadn’t been in four years, because they don’t have Primark in Canada.
‘I wanted to do the day trip down to Birmingham from Scotland. It was a six-hour trip there and a six-hour trip back.
‘We got the first train down in the morning and the first train back at night. We didn’t get home until 1am.
‘We had to get the train from Falkirk to Edinburgh then down to Birmingham. It was a lot of dedication for a Primark shop.
‘We went down to Birmingham because that’s where the biggest Primark is. I figured it was a case of go big or go home.
‘Another reason why I bought the suitcase was because I knew carrying home a ton of bags wouldn’t be a good idea.
‘I came to about £290 by the end of the shop, which isn’t too bad. I got quite a bit for that. I got quite a bit of toiletries, clothing and underwear.’
Suzanne admits to missing fast fashion retailer Primark whilst she’s abroad and finds she doesn’t spend as much whilst shopping in Canada.

Suzanne said: ‘I missed Primark a lot whilst I’m over in Canada. I’ve also lived in New Zealand and Australia, and between the three places there’s no Primark.
‘It’s the big thing when I come home to go to Primark. Other countries don’t have anything like it – they don’t really do fast fashion, especially at such a cheap price.
‘When I was packing it all away, I wasn’t even paying attention to anyone who was behind me. I was just like ‘Scan, put it in. Scan, put in.’
‘I was all business. I was saying, “I’m a cashier, it’s fine”. It was my day to enjoy.’

Suzanne said: ‘I picked up over four million views on the video, it’s crazy. Going off the comments, I think it picked up that many because they were saying bringing a suitcase was genius.
‘People were saying they were going to bring a suitcase next time they went to Primark.
However, there were also negative comments on there from people saying: ‘Oh, she’s not sustainable’ or ‘She’s wasting money’.
Suzanne replied: ‘I would say, I don’t do big shops that often. When I’m in Canada, I’ll be buying the bare minimum.
‘It’s not like I’m going out spending loads of money all the time. I’m sure plenty of people spend more a week on Shein.’
Commenters were left divided over Suzanne’s decision to bring a suitcase along for her day-out in Birmingham.
One wrote: ‘This is so sad’, whilst another remarked: ‘It’s understandable to buy a few fast fashion pieces every now and then but massive hauls like this are so unnecessary.’
However, many viewers came to Suzanne’s defence saying it’s ‘her money’ and calling naysayers ‘Judge Judys’.

One commented: ‘It’s her money, why you all mad?’, as another admitted: ‘I’m just disappointed I never thought of this.’
Another supportive commenter wrote: ‘What’s with all the Judge Judys in the comments? Do we not have free will anymore?! Jesus Christ, hope you had a fun shopping trip!!’
One admirer said: ‘I think it’s the best idea. Why bother with struggling with massive bags when you can wheel a suitcase?’
Primark has been contacted for comment.
