The 41-year-old street racer dies after getting involved in a fatal car accident while filming the Discovery series in Las Vegas as the show’s official Twitter account confirms his passing.
AceShowbiz -“Street Outlaws: Fastest in America” cast member Ryan Fellows died in a car accident on Sunday, August 7 while filming the Discovery series. Confirming the heartbreaking news of the street racer’s passing was the show’s official Twitter account.
“The ‘Street Outlaws’ family is heartbroken by the accident that led to the tragic death of Ryan Fellows,” the account wrote on Monday morning. “We extend our deepest sympathy to Ryan’s loved ones as they process this sudden and devastating loss.”

According to TMZ, Fellows died during filming of “Fastest in America” in Las Vegas. It was said that during one of the races scheduled for the show on Sunday morning, the 41-year-old’s Nissan 240z lost control near the finish line.
The vehicle rolled over and caught on fire. Unfortunately, onlookers failed to pull him out from the car in time. The outlet further reported that filming stopped for the rest of the day after the accident.
“Fastest in America” is one of four Discovery Channel shows in the “Street Outlaws” franchise, alongside the original show, “Memphis” and “No Prep Kings”. Premiering in 2013, the competition show provides an inside look into the world of street racing.
It focuses on eight teams of racers competing against one another for $100,000. Fellows competed in the show’s third season as he previously appeared as a guest racer in a season 5 episode of “Memphis”.
Fellows is survived by wife Liz and children Josiah, 18, and Olivia, 10. A GoFundMe page was set up to help the late TV star’s family through their difficult time in the wake of the tragedy.
The fundraiser describes Fellows as “an avid car enthusiast and was a road ‘warrior’ in many ways that extended to loves of basketball, cars and business in sales/advertising.” The description on the page continues, “He was admired for tenacity and a relentless drive to overcome the challenges before him. The only thing he loved more than these efforts and achievements were his family.”
“The family will need help with the next steps of grief and living life after losing the heart and soul of their beautiful family,” it concludes. As of now, more than $16,000 has been collected of $50,000 goal.
