Airplane issue
Taylor Swift is denying claims that her frequent flying is causing damage to the environment. A recent report from UK marketing firm Yard looked into celebrity’s usage of private jets, and it determined that Taylor left the biggest carbon footprint in the first half of 2022. The report said Taylor’s plane has flown 170 times between January 1 and July 19 of this year with a combined total of nearly 16 days in the air. Yard suggests her total carbon emission for these flights was 8,293.54 tonnes. However, Taylor team is fighting back, insisting that she’s not responsible for a good bit of that. “Taylor’s jet is loaned out regularly to other individuals,” a spokesperson for the singer told Rolling Stone. “To attribute most or all of these trips to her is blatantly incorrect.”
