A cooler box containing a human head was found on a motorway by local residents.
The head, which was found in a Unicel cooler, allegedly belongs to a woman whose body was found wrapped up in a blanket during the early hours of Sunday (August 7).
Local residents from the Eco 2000 neighbourhood in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico, found the head on Sunday morning next to a public park and subsequently notified the authorities upon their discovery.

According to investigating agents, they pointed out that the decapitated head allegedly belonged to a woman and could potentially belong to one of the two bodies that were dumped during the early hours of Sunday in the Misiones de Creel neighbourhood.
The cooler was placed on the street and found behind a personnel transport unit, as happened in Paseos del Alba, where they left a corpse wrapped in a blanket behind a truck.
Forensic experts were placed in charge of securing the evidence where the cooler was found, while the head was taken to the Forensic Medical Service along with the cooler for examination.
The discovery of the head comes amid the ramping of violence mainly in the southeastern sector of the city.
The discovery of disposed bodies that have either been wrapped in blankets or cut into pieces has taken place in different sectors of the city, contributing to the increased drug cartel violence in the area.

The increase of cartel violence comes after the new deputy director of a Mexican city was murdered by members of the Sinaloa Cartel, which is Mexico's most powerful drug cartel.
Juan Miguel Silva Alvarado was announced as the new deputy director of the Culiacan Municipal Police just hours before his death.
Mr Alvarado was travelling in a convoy of three patrol cars before being stopped by a group of Sinaloa Cartel members outside an office building.
Officers in the convoy as well as Alvarado's bodyguards were asked to give up their firearms before Mr Alvarado attempted to flee the patrol car and enter a building to hide before he was fatally shot.
